CreaWriter is a full-screen word processor designed for writers to increase productivity and creativity, according to the software’s website. The interface of the software is a minimalist approach to user interfaces, only appearing when necessary. The software is based on Ommwriter for Mac, and is designed to put the focus on your words. Now, I was happy when I heard about CreaWriter, because as a writer using a PC, I’ve been envious of Ommwriter for quite some time. I can’t compare the two, because I’ve not used Ommwriter, but since users will stick to their operating systems based on personal preferences, I find CreaWriter a welcome entry into the world of full-screen distraction-free writing.
