Can't wait to see where you take us next. The only thing I found strange was the one-sided phone conversation. I understand that the narrator (who is the Watcher, I presume), can't hear it but when reading it, it strikes an odd note. Everything else was so richly detailed, not having that detail really stood out. I'm not sure if that's what you intended. Love the card that moves around on its own and the end was great.
